The government of the Maldives and Dutch Docklands of Netherlands signed an agreement to develop, operate and manage floating convention center and a golf course in the Maldives. The Dutch Docklands is an international company known for their floating developments throughout the world with an aim to reduce the impact on underwater life and minimize the changes to coastal morphology.

In a press conference, the Chairman of the Privatization Committee Mahmood Razi said that the Maldivian government would also seek the assistance of Dutch Docklands in the future to develop similarfloating housing units.

Duck Docklands is a privately owned company leading in innovative patented technology to make “land from water” by providing large scale floating constructions to create similar conditions as on land.
