Wondering when is the best season to visit the Maldives? Well, it all depends on your preferences. If you are seeking plenty of sunshine and blue skies, we recommend you to visit the Maldives between December and April, which is considered the dry season. Tourist arrivals are usually high and resorts are fully booked despite the higher rates in this season; especially due to the festive celebrations like Christmas and New Year in December.

The months between May and November are warm, but generally cloudy, humid and you can usually expect scattered showers. This is the low season and retreat rates are generally lower as well with plenty of special offers for you to choose from; like the"Suite Deals" by Taj Exotica and "Escapes for two" by Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi.

Surfers flock the waves during these months as it creates greats swells. The months April and November are considered transition months and are best for divers due to the water clarity with a better chance of spotting mantra rays and whale sharks. So, instead of asking 'when', ask 'what' you wish to do in the Maldives. Happy travels!
